Pop with day-today anecdotes, pop without complications, pop with two guitars and a Chilean bombo. Perhaps only in a place like Valparaíso, land of cloudy landscapes, street culture and bohemia, the pop of Técnicas Manuales could come up to life. Hanging out with friends, grabbing the instruments and starting to sing. Sometimes only that is what it takes to show the world what are you doing. Daily stories in a daily way, simple, real and without preambles. His two guitar and bombo, allows this trio a permanent versatility to play, bars, coffee shops, breweries, the corners of Plaza Sotomayor, etc. Being a great plus the homelike sessions of “Vamos a la casa del J”, where other bands and friends are invited to play in Jota Amparo`s house (Guitar and voice). A fine example of self- organization, porteña style. Técnicas Manuales are: Jota Ampuero / Guitar and voice • Ingmar Schröder / Guitar and voice • Pablo Saavedra/ Bombo Facebook • Soundcloud By: Pablo Pérez.

Niñosindigo

Been caught on the ethereal loop of Niñosindigo over and over and over and over and over again has to be a paradise. Meet the personal project of Valeria Hernández, a visual artist from Concepción, and the woman responsible for many video clips and visuals from bands like Davida Loca or Niñosindigo itself, and indie art projects like Taller Monstruo. Her latest album, “Selva” finds the trance in the strings. An interesting approach to acoustic tunes backed by voices coming from the wind. All with the wild concept of “Fruta”, sounds from remote places and remote tunes. In its own abstraction, Niñosindigo stands as an escape door to the harsh streets, bright lights and irritating sounds of the city. A far away place, made by atmospheric folk, experimental samples and lo fi sensations. We have nothing but a high fidelity to one of the most interesting projects of Concepción. PLANETA NO

As its name gives us the antechamber, “Planeta No” is a being with its own light rotating around its own sun. We could say that is a world where only live pop, but no, because inside its wildlife, live dance eighties sounds, arranged and different sound garage species. The Big Bang of the band was in the middle of 2010, the same year in which they recorded their first demo in Estudios Primate. Throbbing, poetic and melancholy lyrics, this “Planeta No” captivates, with a subtle and sticky sound to the ear, but very deep in the heart. Web   Facebook    Souncloud By: Jordán Cáceres.
