BUM, PAM, BUM!!! Onomatopoeias are the perfect kind of words you can use to describe what Tomas Perez does. A little bit of Buckethead over here, a little bit of Mr. Bungle over there. You can find many references in Tomas´s instrumental music, but the final result will always be one of a kind. A true original work made by a busy and restless mind. With three bands on his record (Cachoecabra, Octagon and Lerdo), being the opening show to Faith No More in 2009 with Lerdo and working between Santiago and Los Angeles; Tomas Perez adds to his career his solo debut Lavado de Cerebro in 2013. An album fueled by intricate structures, heavy riffs, drilling guitar solos and acoustic gems like Mecedora. Tomas Perez has never been afraid of making music beyond limits. His first album has obtained very good reviews and has even been sold in Amoeba Studios in California. What can we expect from Tomas Perez in the future? Insanity? Explosions? More onomatopoeias? Nobody knows, but surely is not gonna be boring. Web: Soundcloud.com tomasperez.cl By: Francisco Cifuentes.

Songwriter from the fifth and magic region of Chile, the “calerano”, as we call to the people of his city (Calera), announces to the world a “new” artist to appreciate, truth be told, he has been playing several years but only publishing his LP at the early 2016. In fact “Nuevo Palpitar”, his first album, today in may, has only 2 months “on air” in the internet megalopolis.   This record with harmonic arpeggios and metaphoric lyrics, shows us that those characteristics come from a place. Inspired in great writers such as Neruda, Silvio Rodríguez and Víctor Jara, Salvador makes of the mixed rhythms, a very interesting fusion of styles that makes a true pleasure listening to the songs. The hearts and souls behind La Ciencia Simple´s sound are Edgar Sandoval and Rienzi Valencia on guitars, Diego Palomino on ambient and guitar, Tomás Cornejo playing the bass and Gonzalo Valencia rockin´ the drums. Completely independent and without a major record label support, the guys from La Ciencia Simple has known how to move around and distribute their material throughout the internet, and not even compromising a single speck of their spirit. Putting a nostalgic feel in every progression of their songs, La Ciencia Simple is an expert in delivering climaxes while gazing the infinite stars or the dawn of new days. Vaso de Leche by Vaso de Leche Vaso de Leche is a Santiago´s garage band rock. They has been cultivating his noise style more than 10 years ago. The band is currently made up by Carolina Ozaus on guitar and vocals, Tania Corvalán on bass and vocals, supported by a “drum machine” and musical collaborations. His first study material called “Primero” was released in 2005, after this, and after going through many lineup changes, the band enters in studio again in 2013 to record their second namesake material, which launched in october of that same year. The musical proposal of the band is a “noisy musical path”, in which saturated with intense rhythmic nuances that mix sounds cross the explosive atmosphere generated by a synth with torn guitars and a sweet and not be placed flute, melodies end up finding a form, thanks to the power of the rhythmic “Drum Machine”. Since 2005 the band is one of the organizers of the notorious musical Festival “FEMFEST”, the first music festival dedicated to women artists in Chile. In the middle of 2016 they prepare to launch its first video. Website Bandcamp

Past members include Francisco Zenteno on guitar, Gonzalo Laguna as a lead singer, and Ives Sepulveda on keyboards and shakers. Föllakzoid have been playing a lot with fellow local bands like Guiso, Perrosky, The Ganjas and others from BYM Records. One time they collaborated with Lee Ranaldo from Sonic Youth when he visited Chile. Their eponymous first record, produced by Ignacio Rodríguez and released in 2009 on BYM Records, is only 6 tracks and sounds like classic Krautrock plus acid guitar and keyboard loopy melodies. Its trance-like formula makes it feel like a journey. Ases Falsos

In April 2011, the Fother Muckers decide to start a new musical stage, being called “Ases Falsos”, a new band with the same members of the Fother Muckers, maturing in musical style but keeping the touch that characterized the last group. The name comes from the song of the disc No. 10 “Just and Necessary” for the Fother Muckers entitled “Los Ases Falsos”. In addition Cristobal Briceño in an interview to “Noiselab” says: Why the name Ases Falsos? C: There are two reasons, one reason that leads to another. There was a song of Fother Muckers 2008 that talked about a band called Ases Falsos. It is a story within a story, a box within a box, a dream within a dream. That band was called Ases Falsos because in Patagonia, where it comes from my family, there is a card game, the Spanish card called trick (truco), an amazing game, it´s like chess in that you can extrapolate its symbolism to the real life. It is much lying, like life. In this game there are cards that have a mediocre value, and the false aces (Ases Falsos) are the best cards (swords and vast), the gold and goblet are useless.

Matias cena

Matias Cena is the latest reincarnation of western fantasy: a fantasy where camaraderie is virtue in an endless journey, transporting to a irrefutably sound taken from the honky-tonk and the American country tradition. A perfect alliance between composition and interpretation, which emerges the figure of the folk singer and guitarist Matthias Cena. Despite this strong American influence, Matias Cena, provides the perfect ingredient mix: his admiration for the first garage wave in Chile, leaded by Los Vidrios Quebrados and Los Mac’s. A kind of devotion and appropriation of this forgotten by the common public identity. Record Label: Algo Records
